About this car
Purchased by the current owner in March 1992 and used daily for transport until mid-2005, when it was it was taken off the road to undergo minor cosmetic paint repairs and some fettling, but due to workload (the owner ran a car body shop!) it simply never got finished, and spent the years between 2005/2012 languishing at the back of his workshop .
In 2012 due to ill health the car was put into long term dry storage, with the aim of bringing it out at some point to return it to its former glory. During the intervening period the current owner continued to accumulate new and spare parts for the project (see list below), meaning that the next owner has very little to source in order to finish the job. Unfortunately for the current owner the car now has to go to a new home as he is no longer able to fulfil his ambition to finish the project.
The car colour is BMW Diamond Black with Oxblood Red leather interior. The engine is the BMW M30 engine (3430cc) with the standard 5 speed manual transmission. The vehicle is fitted with 8.5 x 17 inch Momo Arrow alloy wheels and the tyres are all in good condition, the car also comes with the 5 original metric TRX wheels and tyres.
The car is a complete package albeit certain parts have been dismantled for restoration purposes. The car comes with many new parts including suspension (uprated springs and shock absorbers) and a complete tuned stainless steel exhaust system including tuned manifold. These parts were supplied by marque specialist FritzBits.
The car was serviced and maintained on a regular basis prior to coming off the road.
The car obviously does need some welding and re assembly (see photos) but with so many new and restored parts, it would the perfect project for an enthusiast to take on. The owner is happy to answer any questions and if more photographs are required, he can provide them.
The parts to be included in the price are as follows:
5 x BMW metric wheels and tyres (original fitment)
1 x brand new (never fitted) complete custom stainless steel exhaust system and fittings including tuned manifold, manufactured by specialist FritzBits (costing £1400)
1 x new (not fitted) suspension kit front and rear to include uprated springs and Bilstein shock absorbers. Costing £900 approx.
1 x new front strut brace
1 x new radiator
1 x new radiator fan blade
Plus many smaller ancillary parts
