About this car
This Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is a stunning example of one of the most exciting and engaging cars ever to be built by the famous British brand. Under the bonnet is the astonishing 5.9-litre naturally aspirated ‘AM28’ V12 engine, with the optional AMR Performance Pack that takes power to 595bhp, paired with the seven-speed dog-leg manual transmission. The odometer shows just 2,886 miles from new.
Building on the already hugely impressive V12 Vantage S, the AMR Performance Pack adds cast magnesium inlet manifolds, which enhance air flow to the cylinder heads, a full switchable titanium exhaust system, which reduces weight and improves gas flow, and a revised carbon-fibre rear diffuser that minimises turbulence at the back of the car. The mechanical upgrades mean the car has the same power as the GT12 model, boosting output from 565bhp to 595bhp.
This car was specified with some bespoke features through the ‘Q by Aston Martin’ personalisation programme, including the special order Diavolo Red exterior paint. The Sports Plus Pack gives the cabin a more focused appearance, with lightweight bucket seats, extended Alcantara trim, and special detailing on the upholstery and door panels. It benefits from the standard V12 Vantage S equipment of three-stage adaptive dampers and powerful carbon-ceramic brake discs.
First registered in September 2016, there is just one previous registered keeper from new. It has been with the current owner for the last year, who has enjoyed around 500 miles behind the wheel of this remarkable road car.
Its bodywork and paint remain in showroom condition, benefitting from a full front-to-back paint protection film (PPF) application over every panel. The deep Diavolo Red finish is a perfect match for the car’s muscular proportions, and it is accented by various carbon-fibre elements, including the grille surround, front lip spoiler, bonnet louvres, wing vent strakes, and rear diffuser. The car rides on 19-inch lightweight forged alloy wheels with a satin black finish, with black painted brake calipers over the composite discs.
Inside, the carbon-fibre backed sport seats are upholstered in a combination of black leather and Alcantara, with a black stripe detail down the centre panels and Aston Martin emblems on the headrests. Extended use of Alcantara applies to the dashboard panels, steering column, roof pillars, headlining, and steering wheel rim. As with the exterior, the interior trim is in excellent condition, commensurate with the very low mileage.
The gear knob and gaiter are trimmed in black leather, while there is a gloss Piano Black finish for the centre console. Factory-fitted equipment includes climate control, cruise control, rear parking sensors, and a pop-up media system with satellite navigation, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
This car has comprehensive main dealer service history from new, with the most recent scheduled maintenance carried out in October 2019 at Aston Martin Reading. Prior to this, it was also serviced in October 2018 and October 2017.
Its first MOT test was carried out on 17 September 2019 at 2,742 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects noted. The wheels are shod in the original Pirelli P Zero tyres, in size 255/35 ZR19 at the front and 295/30 ZR19 at the rear. They are all in superb condition with around 6mm of tread remaining.
The car is accompanied by all of the original books and factory literature, as well as a full complement of remote fobs and glass keys. The supplied accessories, including the tool kit, are also present.
At launch, Evo magazine said of the standard car: “Few cars on sale today offer what the V12 Vantage S delivers. The concept of putting your most potent motor in your smallest model is as compelling now as it was when the original V12 Vantage was launched back in 2008. As the S is a lot sharper, more powerful and more aggressive, you can imagine it makes for an explosive and unforgettable drive”.
This Aston Martin V12 Vantage S with the AMR Performance Pack is a handsome British supercar that offers a staggering driving experience. As soon as the original V12 Vantage appeared, it was lauded by enthusiasts as an instant classic, and the gradual improvements made to the model over the years are fully showcased in this incredible car. It is a raw and analogue brute that is sure to thrill its next owner, and would make a superb addition to any Aston Martin collection.
