The Aston Martin V8 4.7 Vantage S Sportshift II offered here for auction at Selecting Gear is a 2012 “61 plate” finished in Tungsten Silver metallic with Obsidian Black leather interior. Having covered just 53357 miles this stunning example boasts a full service history  most recently carried out by Aston Martin at 52354 miles on 07/04/2020.

The specification highlights include- Sports seats with Silver contrast stitching with ‘Vantage S’ embroidery to headrests. 700w Premium audio system, Piano black pack, bright finish front grille, Front parking sensors, Garage door opener, heated & memory seats, Satellite navigation & 19” V Spoke design wheels with nearly new Michelin tyres. The exterior paintwork is complimented by a carbon fibre styling package, comprising of front splitter & rear diffuser as well as clear rear lights, a ‘stealth’ mode switch to allow for quieter engine starts especially when cold starting, and finally during a recent clutch replacement the car was treated to a Bamford Rose uprated twin plate clutch and lightened flywheel.

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was the second all-new Aston to be built at their Gaydon headquarters. Based around the already proven VH (Vertical and horizontal) platform the V8 offered performance and dimensions similar to that of the Porsche 911. The coupe was launched back in 2005 followed two years later by the roadster version. The second generation of the Vantage was introduced in 2008 and showcased the new 4.7 litre V8 engine. The new 4.7 produced 420 bhp, which was an increase of 40bhp over the out going engine. The enhancements of the new car included – DBS style dash layout, Glass key, subtle body styling refinements and all new satellite navigation.
